I got my eighth tattoo with Paul Black at Mad Ethel’s, and It was THE BEST TATTOOING experience of my life. Paul is the man. Kind, attentive, and a master of his craft, he will go the extra mile to make sure that you get an amazing tattoo. His attention to detail is incredible. My tattoo came out WAY better than I could have imagined! After three 4.5-hour sessions, I had an incredible piece that easily outshines all the others. You may have to wait a few months to get in with Paul, but that’s just a testament to how good he is. Within a week, two members of my family booked appointments with him because they were so impressed with his work. My dragon tattoo is bad-AF, and I’m so happy with the experience!
Everyone at Mad Ethel’s is kind, friendly, and wonderful to work with. The shop is clean, their work is fantastic, and for what you get, their prices are totally worth it. They really care about their customers. When I passed out after standing up too fast (Rookie mistake.), they were conscientious and understanding, even stocking up on my favorite treats for my next few sessions. Paul even caught me before I hit the floor!
Rest assured, at Mad Ethel’s, you’re in good hands. (No pun intended.)

Lily is absolutely amazing. She is everything I was looking for in a piercing artist. She is incredibly knowledgeable, clean, and professional while helping you feel comfortable with body modification. I watched her sanitize the equipment before hand which really helped to put me at ease. She took her time to answer all my questions (and I had a lot). Everything went very well, probably better than what I had built up in my mind. And I absolutely love my piercings. I am still going through the healing process but I don’t anticipate any problems with proper home care. If you are considering body piercings, Lily is where to go!

Great place to get your ink done. Ember was great and helpful and her work is stunning. I have a few other friends that recommended Mad Ethel's for my tattoo needs and this was my first experience with them and I was very pleased. I didn't get anything fancy or grand just a wedding band tattoo but Embers attention to detail was fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone.

Really enjoyed entire experience with this shop! My hair stylist recommended Chris Peck and she didn't steer me wrong. Mike was most helpful with booking and was very responsive to emails, as well discussing design and helping me find the shop. Chris was very accommodating in making sure that the design was exactly what I wanted, as well as taking care in size and placement. I enjoyed our ongoing conversation, his music knowledge, and the fact that he was very light handed during the tattooing process. My piece turned out better than I imagined, which says something for giving artists some artistic liberties. I'll definitely be back for more, and am telling all my friends about this place! Side note - the shop is moving to Person Street soon which is also very exciting!

Lilith pierced my helix and I am so happy with it!! She was so sweet and so fun to talk to, and that was the most effortless piercing I've gotten. I was worried to get a cartilage piercing, but she made it a great experience! My best friend got a piercing from her last year and she has been hyping her up ever since, for good reason!! Will definitely be returning to her for more future piercings. Even living an hour and a half away, it is totally worth it! Thanks for the great service 👍
